The project encourages seniors to contribute to local ecological conservation, rebuilds and bridges social capital, strengthens community cohesion, and drives sustainable environmental and social development.
Based in Yuen Long District, we mobilize local seniors to join hands in conserving Yuen Long’s "back garden"—Tai Lam Country Park. To tackle the issue of forest aging, seniors become “Nature-link Senior Leaders” and take part in forest restoration after trainings. They visit local communities and schools to pass on their conservation knowledge, foster intergenerational harmony, and engage newcomers in protecting our countryside.
The project adopts a "Learn–Practise–Inherit" strategy to unleash the potential of seniors, achieving the goal of "Nature-based Living, Life Enjoyment, and Meaningful Contribution".
